To those whom may not be foster parents…

We want to let you know that you are touching so many hearts and homes with your contributions to the closet. Your support means so much to these families.

Being a foster parent or foster child can have many unforeseen challenges. In a moments notice, a foster parent may get a call asking if they can take a child into their home within a few hours or days. When a foster parent says “yes” to this call they may not know how things will go, or receive any immediate details as to what type of situation the child is coming from. However, foster parents do know that when they say “yes” they will be welcoming a child in with open arms and providing a safe place for them.

Having the foster closet available to families, allows them to quickly obtain the resources they need to properly and safely care for children in their home. A child may come with a few belongs in a small plastic bag or with only the clothing they are wearing. The foster closet helps families obtain clothing, pajamas, socks, underwear, essential items and a special book or activity for a child. Having these items readily available for families can help with this stressful and sometimes traumatic transition for a child into an unfamiliar home.

“Your contributions matter! A donation today could impact multiple children and families in our local community.”
