Being a foster parent means…

Being a Foster parent means…

Opening your heart and your home to provide a loving and safe environment for a child.

Supporting and comforting a child who might be working through past trauma.

Making a child feel welcomed and included within your existing family.

Providing basic essentials, a safe place to sleep, seasonally appropriate clothing that fits, and items needed for school.

Adjusting your current schedules and travel plans to include visitations with biological parents, social workers, and case managers.

Arranging doctor and therapy visits, school needs, meetings with teachers, and any additional support for a child to thrive in their new home environment.

What you do for a child today will impact their life forever. You are the light for a child as they navigate an unpredictable and sometimes dark time in their young lives.

“Fostering in LOVE for their today. Trusting in God for their tomorrow.”
